And The Truth Shall Set You Free

I despise racial politics, I despise those who champion the same no matter how they clothe themselves, if you participate in racial politics you are no better then Pik Botha and Hendrick Verwood, and in case you do not know whom I am talking about please go and search some of the South African apartheid pages in the web, you may get some information on these two characters.

The Tengku the founding father of this nation was once amongst the most vocal critics of Apartheid, and yet as we go along our Government seems to be looking more and more like one. The famous Nelson Mandela was incarcerated under a draconian law very much like our ISA today and if you look at the struggle of the "coloured" African people of South Africa you will be able to draw may parallels with our situation today.

So I despise UMNO, MIC, MCA, Gerakan that claims to be multiracial, the same party that said there were no qualified candidates other than the Chinese candidates for the last elections and whose acting President was swept away by Prof. Ramasamy in a Chinese majority constituency by a Chinese majority electorate, a clear indication that Malaysians have become fed up of all those lies and racism that permeates the Barisan Nasional.

Today I am talking about the truth and how it will set you free, this is addressed to all politicians in Malaysia.

Why is it there is no hue and cry about the moral issues behind Chua Soi Lek's elections as Deputy President of MCA, and why is it not a day goes by when someone does not take a pot shot at Najib and his alleged involvement in the murder of Altantayu.

Is there a racial bias, here? Is it that Malaysians are now in the mood for both UMNO bashing and Najib bashing, that they leave Chua alone and let him be, and target Najib no end.

This is the difference, Chua Soi Lek came out clean, he openly admitted that it was him in the tape that was being circulated and he apologised to his wife, his children, his constituents.

He did not use the political office he held to try and shoo shoo the whole episode and deny everything and to get people to say the tape was "doctored" etc. The whole nation watched as the truth unfolded and almost as quickly as he had admitted his wrong doing the people forgot the whole episode. It cost him his Ministerial post, and as soon as he stepped down the people began to realise that he did indeed reshape the administration and efficiency of Government Hospitals, people started talking about his good side.

Funny how soon the whole episode was closed, and how he got reelected to the second highest post in the party months later.

FUNNY? No not funny, it was the "Truth" the truth set him free.

There are others in higher office in the Barisan Government tainted with such scandals, that people have not forgotten as yet, the talk is still rife about one politician and what allegedly happened in Port Dickson and the whole issue was denied, swept under the carpet and shut out, or is it really shut out? Could he have been filmed as well, and is it that the person who has the tape is waiting his turn to become rich?

Then there is the case of Altantuya, there is a SD by a former cop who was involved in the case implicating a Najib, the cop is missing and Najib was not even bothered to see where this man went to bring him to the open and clear his name.

What is even more intriguing, is that persons like Raja Petra Kamaruddin are perceived as a threat to the Nation and is locked up without a trial by an incompetent and highly suspicious police force.

Why incompetent?

The filming of a minister in the privacy of a hotel room is a case of National Security breach. The person who had done such a thing could have well blackmailed the minister. Imagine what will happen if Najib is caught in such a compromising position, then all one has to do is to wait for him to assume the role of PM and blackmail him and the whole nation will be at the mercy of a blackmailer without even knowing it.

And yet when this camera was set up in a hotel room, the police have not up till today caught those involved in the case. Are they waiting for a Police report to be made? I am sure they do not need one this is a case of a National Security threat and they seem to be taking it very lightly, and Raja Petra is seen as a threat to National security, who are they kidding.

One wonders if that is the case right now, this Government the UMNO led government has corrupted the judiciary to the extent that the lawyers have no confidence in the legal system they serve. Are all these manipulations in succession the handing over of power etc. something to do with behind the scene blackmail? No matter how youlook at it, it is tainted, there are issues that are rather shot down and shut up, like the PM vouching for Najib. It shall continue to be the case, this Government is working on the premise that with time people will forget, they forget to remember that this is th e-information age and people will nto rest tilll the truth is known.

It is only the Truth that has the ability to set anyone free.
