One would have expected a more judicious decision from a former Lord President, our former King and a respected statesman, this decision does not represent the wishes of the people, in a democracy that is of paramount importance and as head of the state that should have been what was to be delivered.
His highness has had two options, one to send the whole issue back to the state assembly for a vote of confidence or no confidence which ever way it is put and the other is to accede to the request of the Menteri Besar to dissolve the assembly and call for a State election.
The question is which of the two options does does the King choose?
It is his prerogative but the Constitution could have made things easier by giving him only one course of action then why did it give him two? To confuse the issue?
No, but to ensure that whichever decision he makes it has to safeguard the wishes of the people, the rakyat.
The members of the state assembly were not voted because of their personalities, but because of the parties they represent, so in the final analysis that should remain intact, and if HRH believes that there may be a change of heart of the electorate then he dissolves the Assembly.
If he has reason to believe, any reason at all that the state assembly persons are only interested in their own personal agendas and not that of the electorate that voted them, and if in pursuit of this own interest they would vote with the opposition to knock out the incumbent state Government he must dissolve the state assembly and allow the people to decide what they want as is very clearly the case here, it is not what the state assemblymen want but what the electorate have expressed through the ballot box that matters and needs to be safeguarded at all costs.
If on the other hand this is because there is a matter of competency, where the Menteri Besar is incompetent for the job, is finding it difficult to get on with tasks at hand lacking the cooperation of his own team, and has sought the permission of the ruler to dissolve the assembly to seek a new mandate for himself, and in his opinion the Ruler is satisfied that both sides of the assembly will vote for his removal then it goes to the assembly for a vote of no confidence. This wills ave the peoples money and time.
In this case the issues are clear, all the assembly persons were given a mandate by the respective electorate, they were required to serve the electorate on the ticket with which they secured their seats, and here two of them have been charged with corruption, (I believe the charges were trumped up, to force them out of office to secure a by election and take back the state, with these charges hanging over them, they would easily succumb), then there is the case of the crippled DAP assemblywoman who was given the position of deputy speaker, she represents not only the DAP, but more importantly women and the disabled, and she publicly claimed she left because she was treated badly as she did not receive a Toyota Camry, the DAP has to take some accountability for the appointment of this opportunist, clearly a political prostitute.
In light of all this evidence the Sultan should have rightfully sent the mandate back to the people by dissolving the assembly, so that the people could decide and the people could have their voices heard.
The two choices are laid out not for an "ini mini miynee more" choice but for a judicial choice, and the Ruler should have made the choice after due consideration taking the wishes of the electorate into account first not the party who by means so apparent secured a dubious majority.
I really do not know what fate awaits Karpal for standing up and challenging the decision, but to Karrpal I say it takes a really brave person to have done that and that I am proud of you sir.
To Najib I say this is the hollowest of all or any victory you have had in your life, you really do not have any true victory of your own in you political life to talk about, and that this victory will cost you and cost you dearly, it is the beginning of your demise from the political scene and the curse that will send UMNO to the rubbish dumps of history.

The Times are changing, feel the change.
Do not believe those who say that we should not demonstrate, it is not the "Malaysian Way" they say, and then deprive you of all your basic rights,by curtailing your basic freedom.
Today in Ipoh Anwar Ibrahim is planning a huge rally, I am praying for its success, because if it succeeds then we would have opened yet another front, in our quest to sack this corrupt regime.
Demonstrations in KL are now common, Trengganu has experience of the same now Ipoh, hope the next is Kedah and Penang, going southwards is a matter of time, because to sack this Government we need to have the rallies all over the country simultaneously, and if you see what is happening that is exactly what we are gearing up for.
It has been done in neighboring Thailand, it has been done in many other countries it can be done here and so be it, because a Government that hits and kills its people needs to be sacked. A government that has repeatedly ignored the wishes of its people and undermined their wishes as relayed through the ballot box, is not a Government but a bunch of bandits out to seize power and keep it to themselves.
Today I reckon will begin a new chapter in our History as Malaysians, when we shall stand up united as one and say, "No More!!! Enough is Enough!!! we are not going to take this lying down."
We have been trampled upon so that we could feed the greed of a very select group of bandits known as the elite of UMNO and their lackeys in the Barisan Nasional.
To those of you who can make it to this rally, please do not delay go, your country needs your, your children and your children's children need you to, so go and go now.

Do you Believe Najib?
Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today denied having offered the Perak Pakatan Rakyat state assemblymen and the lone assemblywoman cash for their defection from their respective parties.
Addressing reporters at a specialy packed press conference at his office today, Najib told the press that BN did not resort to ‘buying’ the four over.
"No, no, no. There was no buying over," he told reporters after announcing that the BN had now secured the majority to form the new Perak state government following the defection of the four.
What he did not say is if they were given any incentives like posts in the new Perak cabinet he hopes to form with this new found majority.
It was only recently in fact a few days ago when Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was reported to have said that such crossovers are not morally right. To Najib apparently it seems morally right, his morals comes from his upbringing and that is manifested here as he seems to doing what his father started after the 1969 elections, getting the parties from Sarawak and the Peninsular to join the then Alliance party and form the Barisan Nasional.
Mahathir a great disciple of Razak followed that trend when they ousted the PBS in Sabah by buying over state politicians. This is all a result of upbringing, I hope Muhyiddin will remain true to what he has said, it may give Malaysians some hope.
Perhaps the most shocking revelation is that Mahathir Mohammed has himself condemned the Barisan for accepting the two candidates, he woudl have preferred they do this after the court trial of the two for corruption.
No conveniently the case will be postponed till kingdom come or the two may not be found guilty or the charges may be dropped.
Najib has said no money was involved, the question is did these men and the one woman crossover for absolutely no material or pecuniary advantage from the BN or UMNO in particular?
Asking the question of Najib is the last thing I'd want to do, most Malaysians do not trust him I am sure and as such I am asking the question here please respond to the poll.

It's Political Suicide in UMNO
If UMNO remains relevant in the next twenty years, then it will because of a coup de tat that will take place in the lesser positions in the supreme council come March or else tis "Beware the UMNO Tsumani"
The Deputy's post contested by three persons indicates the rot in UMNO. Mohammed Taib, a disgraced politician both nationally and internationally is wying one of the biggest offices int he land that alone speaks volumes of the caliber of leaders let in UMNO. The trouble in UMNO is the leadership is so thick skinned, the members are so engrossed in money politics they do not comprehend what it is to be disgraced. Think of all the disgraceful acts committed by this one party in the country.
The race for the UMNO youth post has been cornered by Mahathir Mohammed whom a great many UMNO members regard as the champion of the Malays, but this is the view of the UMNO membership alone, and that too is divided but he still commands a simple majority. Many Malays see him as a conniving Mamak in their midst.
His son is well placed after nominations but something tells me another defeated politician also like Mohammed Taib an ex Menteri Besar of Selangor, who successfully managed to obtain a disgraceful exit in the last elections may land up the the youth chief, because that is the UMNO membership, quiet and self opinionated individuals, there is no team work in UMNO, it is all about the interest of the individual, and the rest of the membership only matters in what they can do to continue to place the individual and his proteges in power.
The man under whose leadership money politics thrived, is now calling for the arrests of politicians under the ISA for money politics, because it is very difficult to obtain proof, so why don't the ACA take a cue from what he says and arrest him and his son first, he is not without suspicion.
Rafidah Sharizat the two UMNO cry ladies (moronic babies) are in for another "cry baby" show, the loser is bound to go out weeping and wailing in flood tears, whislt the winneer will swing from branch to branch. Those of you who remember Rafidah's last contest will remember her outbursts after losing, then there is Sharizat and her crying when she lost her parliamentary seat in March of 2008.
Whilst the opposition is experiencing a renewal, a revitalization and a renaissance of a kind UMNO and its BN partners are riding into the sunset, and the insistence of the leadership to continue with the politics of patronage means the party is in a suicidal mode, and will find it very difficult to come back.

It just is justice
Was the acquittal of Abdul Razak Baginda any surprise?
The judge relied on the bail affidavit, but what happened to that affidavit which Justice Segra who was then the sitting judge for the case received, which the Judge himself (Justice Segra) said implicated Razak Baginda, and which Razak Baginda's lawyer Wong Kian Kheong insisted in submitting, after which justice Segra and the prosecutors were removed form this case, for mysterious reasons.
Will Justice Segra be allowed to shed any light into this case, I wonder or will the ethics of his profession prevent him from so doing.
One just can't but speculate what the contents of that affidavit were. Was that affidavit the reason for removing Justice Segra and the Public Prosecutors who were handling the case at that material time?
Shaaribu Setev the father of Altantuya, has the sincere sympathy of many Malaysians, and I will not fault him if he does not believe so, but nevertheless many believe there is more to this murder than meets the eye, and many believe that there is a cover up at the highest levels and this does not auger well for Justice in Malaysia.
He (Dr. Shaaribu) was reported to be puzzeled as were many Malaysians why of all the three accused Razak was the only one acquited when it was Razak who was known to his daughter.
Will the truth ever be known?
For the sake of Justice for the two sons of Altantuya Shaaribu, for the sake of the father of the same lady and her family, for the sake of all Malaysians it must surface, and cannot remain hidden.
Why?
Because the next Prime Minsiter of this country has been implicated by one of those involved in the case, and has now gone missing - private investigator P. Balasubramaniam.
One of those who continually kept making allegations that Najib the next prime Minsiter of this country and his wife Rosmah were involved, is now languishing in detention without trial under the internal security act. Why without trial, why not bring him to trial in open court? Is there anything to hide?
It was published at the onset of this trial, that the Mazlinda Makhzan wife of Abdul Razak Baginda a former Magistrate herself, turned hysterical and began screaming and asked, "why are you arresting him? he did not do anything! He is not going to become the next Prime Minister?" She had to be controlled and consoled by her daughter Roweena.
That statement by his wife a former Magistrate raises many questions, what was she trying to say and why the statement, "He is not going to be the next prime minister."
,
Will the public prosecutor appeal?
The way the case was conducted has he sufficient grounds to in the first place?
Will Malaysians accept this verdict or will this verdict have repercussions in the next General Elections?
Has Anwar's Sodomy case anything to do with this case, in the sense that it would neutralise the effects this would have on the man in the street?
Altantuyas immigration record fo entry into the country went missing.
How could this single Immigration record go mysteriously missing?
For it to be erased some one in very high office had to be involved. Those who could sanction such an act would be the then Minister of Home Affairs, Radzi, the Director General of Immigration, or the bosses of the Minister of home affairs.
The only bosses this minister has are the Prime Minister and his Deputy.
Can we seriously take this lying down, our National Integrity is at stake, we must find the answers, and the Government has a duty to ensure that it is done.
Two policemen could not have acted so irresponsibly, they must have been told to do what they did, or at least believed that is what they were told if indeed this policemen were the ones who did it.
The fact that Altantuya was first murdered and that her body was blown up by C4 explosives, her immigration records of entry into Malaysia at the material time erased, her involvement in a very expensive Government project to purchase submarines for which she was the interpreter, and therefore privy to very confidential information, the fact that she herself stated she was here to blackmail Razak Baginda, (Razak Baginda received a huge Comission for his role in the project) the alleged sms between Najib and Shaffie Abdullah regarding this case, the change of Judge and prosecutors in the case, and the reluctance of the police and prosecution to investigate the missing immigration records have lent scorn to this case.
As Dr. Shaaribu Setev who expressed his anger, disappointment and frustration in this case said "many questions will remain unanswered."
The question we as Malaysians should ask is, can we do anything about it? And if we can we must, for our sake and the sake of posterity.
Frankly Xroy

Norman Hakim should have gone to Thailand or Singapore if he could not afford England
Following the post on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 "The Law for You and the Law for Them" I was a little surprised when I read the Star the following day and found the news article below.
What a coincidence?
PETALING JAYA: Actor Norman Hakim, whose marital problems were recently featured by entertainment tabloids, is now embroiled in another controversy.
He was caught for alleged khalwat (close proximity) with young actress Memey Suhaiza in his office in Ampang by Selangor Islamic Affairs Department officers at 3am on Thursday.
The department had received a tip-off. Both were fully clothed when arrested. They were brought to the Melawati police station for questioning.
The department’s Gombak enforcement head Khairul Hazri Sulaiman said his team rushed over to the office and knocked on the door but there was no answer.
He said they were about to break it down when Norman appeared.
Memey: ‘The others then left and I was alone on the first floor of the office’
Norman, 32, and Memey, 20, are expected to face trial at the Gombak Timur Syariah Lower Court in January.
When contacted, Norman did not deny the arrest. However, he insisted that it was a case of misunderstanding.
“I was having a meeting with four of my employees at my office at 10pm. Memey was one of those who attended the meeting,” said the Gerak Khas TV series actor who is married to his co-star Abby Abadi.
They have three children.
Norman said Memey had been helping him since August after a worker resigned.
He said that when he returned to the office at 1am, his management staff members had left and Memey was the only one there.
“Soon, I heard loud noises downstairs and saw the Jais officers outside,” he said.
Abby: ‘My feelings have not been taken into consideration for a long time now’
Abby, who was shocked to learn about the incident, said their marriage would take a turn for the worse now.
“I’ve actually given up on my marriage. My feelings have not been taken into consideration for a long time now,” she said.
Memey, when contacted by Malay news portal mStar yesterday, said she was not aware that Norman was in the office at the time.
She only knew he was there when the raid was conducted.
“After a meeting that lasted until midnight, Norman left while a few of the staff and I were still in the office.
“The others then left and I was alone on the first floor of the office,” she said.
Memey said she was afraid to answer the door when she heard someone knocking and called Norman who appeared half an hour later.
“It was only then that I realised that Jais was conducting a raid and that Norman was on the second floor,” she added.

The Law for You and the Law for Them
A very prominent politician in the process of seeking high office has a son in England.
All you have to do is to surf the web and you'll see pictures of his son with girls, not just one girl but many girls. The ladies are definitely not in baju kurong and tudongs, they are in low neck dresses and really look chic.
Now the question is; Do you see anything wrong in that? Some of these pictures have been circulated in the emails recently, so what the boy is a boy, who gives a damn of who is father is, he is a boy and he's doing what comes naturally to boys his age, flirting with girls.
Right?
Right!!!!! yes but something is wrong.
What the heck is wrong? Ya what's wrong.
What is wrong is this boy is rich enough to be overseas, in England probably, so he's out of reach of our "moral and religious Police" and so free from harms way.
He like many other rich who have the means and the opportunity to do this can go ahead and do this with all immunity, whilst poorer boys back home are caught, their girlfriends too are caught and even abused by these so called "moral and religious police" an as usual this UMNO led government lacks the courage to put a stop to this.
I am not picking on the son of this Politician, I pick on the politician himself, who is alleged to have an eye for women and although he sits on that lofty seat up high and seeks even higher a seat will not be able to curtail the activities of these "moral police."
This Minister was in the UK too at one time and it is said had his time as well, he's back now and is about to head a government that does not tolerate boys kissing girls in the park, or even in the privacy of their own homes, and the sad thing is that his son will return, and in all probability become a minister and maybe even a Prime Minister and continue with the strengthening of these Moral standards, whils t his own son keps out of harms way in a foreign land.
In reality they have two sets of laws, one for the rich kids, it is the English, European or American Laws, and the other is the Malaysian Law for the poorer Malay boys, so take your pick, because even if you are poor, and you know how to do your UMNO work you'll be able to land a scholarship to a foreign land for your child, and if you belong to PAS or PKR or even are not an UMNO member or just and ordinary UMNO member your child is doomed to be a victim at home.
That is just but one of the aspects of corruption in UMNO.

HAPPY DEEPAVALLI THE FESTIVAL OF LIGHT.
"THE HEROES WHO LANGUISH IN DETENTION ARE THE LIGHT OF OUR FUTURE - THE FUTURE OF ALL MALAYSIANS."
Malaysian's today salute these heroes of our History, Raja Petra Kamaruddin, The HINDRAF 5, for their heroism, for their determination and for their will to rid this country of prejudices, and racial hatred, the seeds of which have been planted by the now bankrupt Barisan Nasional Government led by racists whose only interests are their own personal and selfish goals.
Our Deepavalli message to this Government is;
Free all those detained, without conditions, and if there is a case against them charge them in open court for the what they have done.
Our message to this Government, the Police, the Attorney General's chambers is to charge the Minister of Home affairs, Syed Hamid Albar and the Prime Minsiter for abusing their positions and the use of the ISA in arresting innocent Malaysians using this terrible peice of legislation.
Our Message to Malaysians is, send a message to this Government that its time is up, and unless it changes we shall change them.
Beware the "Ides of March" for March will come again, the next month of March is time for transition, the transition will bring along with it victims of its own, who will be bitter about the outcomes that have been unfairly gained.
It will see those who set up this unfair advantage in the UMNO election system and who later cried "foul" (the mamak) gloat over the victories of his stooges and his son now using this very system which he implemented, which he said must be abolished, and when it yielded the results he wanted, shut up and supported it. That my dear friends is Mahathir Mohammed, the Malaysian Indian who fooled all UMNO members in this country into believing he is a full blooded Malay. He should have joined MIC.
My Deepavalli message to Mahathir Mohammed is even the dustbins of History is too good a place for a scoundrel like you.

And The Truth Shall Set You Free
I despise racial politics, I despise those who champion the same no matter how they clothe themselves, if you participate in racial politics you are no better then Pik Botha and Hendrick Verwood, and in case you do not know whom I am talking about please go and search some of the South African apartheid pages in the web, you may get some information on these two characters.
The Tengku the founding father of this nation was once amongst the most vocal critics of Apartheid, and yet as we go along our Government seems to be looking more and more like one. The famous Nelson Mandela was incarcerated under a draconian law very much like our ISA today and if you look at the struggle of the "coloured" African people of South Africa you will be able to draw may parallels with our situation today.
So I despise UMNO, MIC, MCA, Gerakan that claims to be multiracial, the same party that said there were no qualified candidates other than the Chinese candidates for the last elections and whose acting President was swept away by Prof. Ramasamy in a Chinese majority constituency by a Chinese majority electorate, a clear indication that Malaysians have become fed up of all those lies and racism that permeates the Barisan Nasional.
Today I am talking about the truth and how it will set you free, this is addressed to all politicians in Malaysia.
Why is it there is no hue and cry about the moral issues behind Chua Soi Lek's elections as Deputy President of MCA, and why is it not a day goes by when someone does not take a pot shot at Najib and his alleged involvement in the murder of Altantayu.
Is there a racial bias, here? Is it that Malaysians are now in the mood for both UMNO bashing and Najib bashing, that they leave Chua alone and let him be, and target Najib no end.
This is the difference, Chua Soi Lek came out clean, he openly admitted that it was him in the tape that was being circulated and he apologised to his wife, his children, his constituents.
He did not use the political office he held to try and shoo shoo the whole episode and deny everything and to get people to say the tape was "doctored" etc. The whole nation watched as the truth unfolded and almost as quickly as he had admitted his wrong doing the people forgot the whole episode. It cost him his Ministerial post, and as soon as he stepped down the people began to realise that he did indeed reshape the administration and efficiency of Government Hospitals, people started talking about his good side.
Funny how soon the whole episode was closed, and how he got reelected to the second highest post in the party months later.
FUNNY? No not funny, it was the "Truth" the truth set him free.
There are others in higher office in the Barisan Government tainted with such scandals, that people have not forgotten as yet, the talk is still rife about one politician and what allegedly happened in Port Dickson and the whole issue was denied, swept under the carpet and shut out, or is it really shut out? Could he have been filmed as well, and is it that the person who has the tape is waiting his turn to become rich?
Then there is the case of Altantuya, there is a SD by a former cop who was involved in the case implicating a Najib, the cop is missing and Najib was not even bothered to see where this man went to bring him to the open and clear his name.
What is even more intriguing, is that persons like Raja Petra Kamaruddin are perceived as a threat to the Nation and is locked up without a trial by an incompetent and highly suspicious police force.
Why incompetent?
The filming of a minister in the privacy of a hotel room is a case of National Security breach. The person who had done such a thing could have well blackmailed the minister. Imagine what will happen if Najib is caught in such a compromising position, then all one has to do is to wait for him to assume the role of PM and blackmail him and the whole nation will be at the mercy of a blackmailer without even knowing it.
And yet when this camera was set up in a hotel room, the police have not up till today caught those involved in the case. Are they waiting for a Police report to be made? I am sure they do not need one this is a case of a National Security threat and they seem to be taking it very lightly, and Raja Petra is seen as a threat to National security, who are they kidding.
One wonders if that is the case right now, this Government the UMNO led government has corrupted the judiciary to the extent that the lawyers have no confidence in the legal system they serve. Are all these manipulations in succession the handing over of power etc. something to do with behind the scene blackmail? No matter how youlook at it, it is tainted, there are issues that are rather shot down and shut up, like the PM vouching for Najib. It shall continue to be the case, this Government is working on the premise that with time people will forget, they forget to remember that this is th e-information age and people will nto rest tilll the truth is known.
It is only the Truth that has the ability to set anyone free.

Thailand sentences ex- Prime Minister to 2 years jail.
REUTERS report from Thailand.
"Judges on Thailand's Supreme Court sat in Bangkok on October 21, 2008. Thailand's Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra had violated a conflict-of-interest law while in office and sentenced him to two years in prison." Reuters report/Chaiwat Subprasom
Blog Commnets
In Thailand they can charge and prosecute a PM in court and when he is found guilty by the courts there is no special treatment, that is Thailand.
IN Malaysia any UMNO man leave alone the PM will be spared if UMNO deems it necessary to spare him for any crime, on the other hand if UMNO deems a person a threat to UMNO they do not require the courts they just shut him up like the did RPK and the rest of those arrested and held in detention under the ISA at the pleasure of the Home Minister, the son of a medicine man from the Celebes, they call the Lion.
Wonder if this home minister is half cat that will explain a lot of things.
Can we draw a parallel between the UMNO led Malaysian Government and the Burmese Junta now?

The UMNO Dynasties Revealed.
An UMNO dynasty is in the making, on the one hand Government is being manipulated by a party (UMNO) and on the other the party is being manipulated by a handful of scoundrels who are making it their own turf.
The top positions in UMNO are theirs for the keeping and so too it will be I guess in the next generation, the surest safeguard against being prosecuted for corrupt practices for a few generations, that is to say the least.
In pole position and going for the Presidency is Najib Tun Razak, going for the Deputy is Muhyiddin Yassin, who is older than Najib. Going by today's standards Najib will not leave the post once there, not Najib for sure so Muhyiddin can expect a DPM's pension if he wins the deputy presidency of UMNO.
The seat of DPM will go to Hishamuddin - Najib's cousin, he is in the race for a VP's slot, he'll keep it patiently for Najib to announce Muhyiddin's successor in the future. Notice how Hishamuddin has the most nominations for Vice Presidency? Muhyiddin himself may have been contemplating the Presidency but did not dare try it, as he was sure the mamak would have sniped at him and got him out for sure.
Following Hishamuddin is the son of the Mamak, Mukhriz Mahathir who will fill Hishamuddin's slot once he gets elevated to DPM, and do not be surprised if Mukhriz does a number on Hishamuddin the same way Mahathir did Hussein Onn.
The only sad thing is that if the sooth sayers are right, the Mamak will leave the scene within two years of Mukhriz ascendancy, (whenever that is) to the Youth post, for the Mamak's sake Mukhriz might as well delay his quest for the post and give it to Khairy this time, but the greed for power will not allow this to happen, as much as I dislike the Mamak I want him to be around a while longer for Anwar to get his day with him.
So the next three Prime Ministers will come from a families whose fathers have been Prime Ministers before, these are the anointed ones, this is typical, its becoming like Indian politics, it is like the Nehru/Ghandi clan, and this country will carry on with a breed who will then look like the leadership of this nation belongs to them, they already feel that way.
The worrying part of this entire ordeal is that the UMNO membership can't actually see through this scheme,or refuse to see it through fear of their own survival in the party which offers so much benefits to cadres, PAS has long seen it, and so too has PKR, the UMNO top layers of the UMNO membership are well fed by this dynastic group that they just decide to allow it to carry on, the same applies to the MCA, MIC and Gerakan.
The East Malaysian Barisan men are in a world of their own, they do not seem to have a semblance of pride, they have not entered the quest to become Prime Ministers of Malaysia, they'll leave it to the minority Bajau or Melanau, the so called Malays of the East, and they have accepted it as their fate I suppose.
Perhaps someday there will come some new UMNO leaders who will see through this scheme, but when will that day come?
Nur Jazlan Mohamed, the only candidate without any baggage has attacked Mahathir, any wonder why he is not being nominated, but it is more because the divisions that dare to nominate him will have to pay a price and they are not prepared for it. The know and fear the Mamak as he awaits, he got rid of a PM what are division and branch heads. Nur Jazlan is serving his last term as a Member of Parliament, adn that is because this young Charted Accountant is good, he is too good to be kept around, he'll spoil the party so they have to get rid of him.
Najib may make an ambassador of Nur Jazalan or make him a director of some UMNO led corporation, it is a shame that good talent instead of being nurtured get wasted, but that is how the dynasties survive.
Now are you still wondering why Mahathir Mohammed just swept aside all young talent in UMNO and why he left the party without any credible leader?

Altantuya Case - Latest Allegations against Najib
I have stated in my earlier article that if Najib is to become the Prime Minister of this country, Najib must clear his name on this issue and that is, to take RPK to court and sue him for all he is worth, instead of locking him up under the ISA.
He (Najib) has to take a leaf from our neighbours, Lee Kuan Yew & son, they never leave stone unturned when an allegation is made against them, that is - to protect the sanctity of the office they hold.
Najib has reportedly sworn his innocence in the Altantuya case, and is even reported to have sworn in a Mosque during the Permatang Pau election campaign.
The Altantuya Shaariibuu case is now back in the news and, Najib is alleged to have had a string of SMS between himself and Muhammad Shafee Abdullah over a period of nearly one month, starting from Nov 8 to Dec 2, 2006, regarding Abdul Razak Baginda and the murder trial.
"The text messages were transmitted between Najib's personal mobile phone (+6012 2143177) and Shafee's mobile phone (+6012 3257052)."
The following is taken from an article in Malaysikini, reporting on an article from Malaysia Today - RPK's blog.
One of the text messages allegedly sent by Najib said that Razak “will face a tentative charge but all is not lost.”
The article went on to question: “This message raises a lot of questions about Najib's role in this case. Why did he mention ‘tentative’ charge and that ‘all is not lost’ for Razak Baginda? How would Najib know this before Razak was charged? Is there already a deal in place that will see Razak aquitted?
Not being a Muslim, I must ask; 'Is alleging that he has insulted Islam and locking him away without the benefit of a trial in accordance with Syraiah or Islamic principles?' I think not. I'll stand corrected if I am wrong. The whole episode just does not look right.
A lady is murdered and her body allegedly blown up to pieces using C4 explosives.
Her immigration records erased, who will have the authority to do such a thing?
The Minister of Home affairs and his superiors I presume. Can it be investigated? Has it been investigated? The Home Minister at that time was Radzi, a lawyer by profession too, will he shed some light?
An ex-cop involved in this case makes a statutory declaration alleging Najib's involvement, following which he gets called by the police, reports to the Police station, does not return home, makes another statutory declaration to the contrary, holds a "Press Conference" during which only Bernama was present and goes "missing."
A blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin, who has been writing on this case, who has been making all sorts of allegations, and challenging Najib to take him on has been locked up under the ISA.
A prominent Political leader who has been harping on this issue is being charged for an act of homosexuality.
The police involvement in all this that is, the murder, the missing cop, considering that he went missing after he reported to the station, the sensational arrest of Anwar Ibrahim, the locking of Raja Petra under the ISA are all cause of concern.
Have the police in all their investigations looked into the allegations of Raja Petra Kamaruddin? And if they have what have they discovered? I just hope they did not go to his house to shut him up, but rather to investigate all the allegations he made or did they?
There are too many things in this case that are not right at all, and Najib needs to come out and clear his name, he can only do it, if the PM gets the ex cop back, and Najib takes Raja Petra Kamaruddin to court to sue him for defamation and everything else, maybe even criminal intimidation, let me borrow some words from RPK, like him I am no lawyer too, I may be saying the wrong things here, but one thing I know is that Lawyers are officers of the court, the courts dispense JUSTICE, maybe Muhammad Shafee Abdullah can shed some light here or is he entitled to qualified privilege, whatever that means.
The sanctity of the Office of Prime Minister of this country is of paramount interest to all Malaysians, it mudt be protected at all costs, this is our country and we, the Prime Minister and every aspiring PM has a duty to keep it intact.

Mahathir, Abdullah and Najib (MAN)
"Najib is the last of the RAHMAN equation, it has always been held in UMNO circles that the succession will be such that the first six prime ministers names will begin with the alphabet of the name Rahman, the name of the first Agung or even the first Prime Minister and this would be in succession, this they believed was not ordained, it was a pact, Musa may be able to shed some light here if there is any truth in it, and that is why it is said that Anwar had to get out, he was not in this pact, he was an outsider.
Musa was supposed to be the M in this equation, but had to go because the position of deputy PM was given to Mahathir who eventually became PM, by Hussein Onn (who was also not part of the plot Harun Idris should have filled that)even against his best judgment, becasue it is said he promised Razak who wanted Mahathir instead of Musa, this was clearly against the Tengku's choice of a young Musa when the plan was hatched.
The intial part of the jigsaw saw, Abdul Razak, Harun Idris, Musa Hitam after that it was to be handed down to the generations of selected elite and their children, Anwar did not fit that elite." So now we have Abdul Razak, Hussein Onn, Mahathir Mohammed (Musa Hitam) Abdullah Badawi(Anwar Ibrahim)and Najib Tun Razak the son of Tun Abdul Razak the man who gave Mahathir life in politics. Will the next be a Mahathir selection or a Najib selection? Remember what Abdullah said on retirement, "I am the last of the Razak generation of ministers to have held this post" the next generation takes over and how aptly so, the son of Razak himself. Razak's next generation.
Mahathir Mohammed after announcing his desire to quit, after crying together with Rafidah Aziz on stage (the famous picture taken at the famous UMNO general assembly in 2002, and after being persuaded to stay on for another eighteen months before handing over the reins of power to an ill prepared and less than suitable Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, had the Malaysians sighing a sigh of relief, because Abdullah who although not as dynamic and not so suitable was seen by Malaysians as a breath of fresh air and an end to a tyrannical reign), had made a pledge not to interfere with the running of the country by Abdullah. We all know what Mahathir's word is worth now.
This may go on to explain why Mahathir got rid of all succession in the cabinet, he wanted to ensure that Najib became PM, to do that he had to wipe out all credible successors.
A leader like Anwar would have "bunkused" the likes of Abdullah and Najib like he did the late Ghaffar Baba and Mahathir would have none of that, he had a need for Najib to take the seat, he wanted to continue to be in control.
After Abdullah's appointment as PM the tyranny of his (Mahathir's) rule would then be exposed in bits and pieces (Lingam case amongst others) and even whilst it was being exposed the tyrant arose and announced that he will not rest till he gets Badawi out of office, which he successfully did by his political maneuverings.
If the opposition fared well in the 2008 elections they must give a huge portion of that credit to Mahathir Mohammed who by then had successfully convinced a good portion of UMNO members that he Badawi was useless and that they had to go for the opposition.
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has to take a big part of that blame too, he failed to lock Mahathir up under the ISA. If it were Mahathir he would have done it to Badawi, but then Abdullah Ahmad Badawi lacked the ..... (Courage? no there is another word I am told it has something to do with tennis or for that matter any ball game).
After all the campaigning to get rid of Abdullah and instructing Najib to go for him and not getting a response from Najib in the process, the branded Najib a coward, and began soliciting others others in UMNO to do it. Now all of a sudden he has chosen to back Najibteh "coward", suddenly Najib is OK, remember he had planned for Najib to take over all the time, he had a plan, because he did claim that there was an "understanding that Najib would take over" which Abdullah denied.
Why Najib? Why was Najib singled out, anything could happen after Pak Lah, a good many other leaders could have emerged, why was Najib so important to him?
It goes back a long way, first it is a father and son issue, Razak gave Mahathir life, political life after the Tengku sacked him from UMNO, now Mahathir will give the same to Najib, not for free, not like Razak did for him, but in return for a lot of other issues too that is only privy to both Najib and Mahathir, after all this Mamak still controls all UMNO and we have seen how he does it. Right nowI am not sure if he is an UMNO member in the first place.
What happens after Najib? Is there to be a plan to ensure that the elite continue in a dynastic fashion, after all they are all lined up in the party right now, there is Hishamuddin Hussein the son of Hussein Onn and the grandson of Onn bin Jaafar, there is Mukhriz Mahathir, Harun Idris's children have all been taken out, Musa's are not there too, so it is going to be a "round robin" amongst the RazaKs, the Mahathirs, and Onn clan?
Right now Mahathir is the Godfather of the clan, and will this godfather run the country by proxy ...God forbid.
So Malaysians beware, if Mukhriz takes the UMNO youth post and Najib becomes PM, unless Najib can hold his own, which is very unlikely.
When Mahathir talks he reminds me of a saying behind a Septic Tank Truck, "Caution - This Truck is full of Political Promises."
For Najib to hold his own he has to come out and really clear his name, instead of keeping RPK locked up under the ISA he has to sue RPK for all its worth to prove that he has nothing to hide in the Altantuya case, because with that case hanging over him he really cannot be allowed to hold the post of Prime Minister of this country. The only other option left to him is to step down.
The name of the nation is sacred, the pride of the nation belongs to its people and this pride cannot be trampled upon neither can it seem to be trampled upon by anyone.

Ps
I just remembered and am rather surprised that no one in the press or any politician for that matter has commented on this statement made by teh Sarawak Chief Minister as quoted in Malaysiakini,
'Taib’s initial reaction to the reports on the protest by the Kadayan-Malay landowners surprised many as he was quoted by local newspapers as saying then that if the landowners wanted to play rough with him, he was ready to do the same with them, adding that whether they liked it or not, here in Sarawak “I am the government”. '
if this is indeed what he said then may I add that this is what happens to those who stay in power for far too long as Mahathir did, and as Taib himself has done in Sarawak, they feel they own the Government and now it is manifested in Taib's statement. Correction Mr. Chief Minister You are only the Chief Minister and not the Government.

Now for the UMNO Elections
All the predictions were wrong, well it was UMNO and the common perceptions of common sense, do not prevail when it comes to UMNO.
So Badawi has decided to go, he's thrown in the towel, but has he really buried the hatchet?
He has said,""At some point I will have to hand over to my successor," then went on further to say that he hoped the successor would be Najib, so from now on Najib is not the annointed successor.
Both Najib and Muhyuddin will be making statements tomorrow, would they be pairing up or would Muhyuddin be announcing his willingness to stand for the Presidency.
Ali Rustam who has indicated his desire to go for the number 2 post has sounded his support for Najib will he be Najib's running mate and if he is to be the running mate, then what does Muhyuddin do? All the polls on this blog show no support for Najib becoming the next PM but then this is no UMNO blog.
Razaleigh has to go on full drive if he intends to shake up Najib, Najib on the other hand seems rather relaxed and quite confident of being elected the next President of UMNO and subsequently being appointed PM of Malaysia.
This piece of report from "Malaysiakini" is rather confusing,"Nevertheless, it is possible that Abdullah may continue to serve as premier for a few more months despite no longer being Umno president" it makes little or no sense, why after hurrying him up is anyone going to let him stay on for a few more months?
Now that Abdullah has thrown in the towel let the the business of governing begin, he has said he wants to get on with his promises, that is exactly what he has to do, get on with it and get over with it fast.
If he gets rid of the ISA he will forever be remembered in the history of this land, if he doesn't he'll be forgotten as soon as he steps down, or for the wrong reasons.

He is going for Broke !!!!!
All eyes will now be focused on Badawi and his decision in the next one or two days, and judging from what is happening it is going to be a Battle Roayle. Fasten your seat belts this is going to be on rough ride.
Muhyiddin's running mate
The latest entry from Johor, Pulai MP Nur Jazlan Mohamad is seen as Muhyiddin Yassin's insurance. If Abdullah decides to go for broke as expected, Muhyiddin will enter himself for the race of the Presidency and he will not be short of support to do so, the majority of the Johor Divisions will support him, Badawi is expected to get good support from Negeri Sembilan, Selangor (from Mohammed Taib's factions), and Penang with a smattering from Perak, Kedah.
Najib is on thin ice
Najib is unlikely to contest Pa Lah if he decides to go in, and that will result in a three cornered fight between Dollah, Muhyiddin and Razaleigh. Najib's factions will then be forced to throw their weight behind Razaleigh, because Najib will not want to play second fiddle to Muhyiddin. That is why Muhyiddin has refused to comment on his position right now. Najib will partner Tengku Razaleigh on the assurance that KU LI will hand over after one term. Whatever it is Najib now walks on thin ice, and it is mighty thin.
Jamal Mohamad will make the right running mate for Muhyiddin, he is young and his ambitions can be put on hold, for Muhyiddin to enjoy a sufficiently long tenure as President and Prime Minister.
I did talk about Rais Yatim and today Malaysiakini in an article has expressed similar sentiments. The real kingmaker at the end will be the UMNO information chief - Mohammed Taib, although there is speculation he may step in it is quite unlikely, if he really intended to he would have done it a long time ago, but now Abdullah is banking on his support and it is very likely he has got it.
Reading Between the lines
The strongest hint that Abdullah intends to go for broke is in today's Malaysiakini article "Abdullah to decide within two days" in which he is quoted as saying, “I know that Zaid Ibrahim is not with us any more. That does not mean everything has to stop. It’s not his idea, anyway, it was mine. It was in the 2004 (election) manifesto, remember? I must make good my promises. I must deliver,”
If he must deliver he must stay, and to stay he must contest, this UMNO battle is to become Battle Royale, and going by any count most decent UMNO members want an end to the ruling dynasties, the Mahathir clan, The Razak Clan, and the Onn Jaffar clan, they want people who do not have baggage to carry forward, they want clean men of honour to lead the party and stop the disease that has eroded it over the years especially during the Mahathir years.
If Abdullah decides to test strength by offering himself for the Presidency, Najib is gone, with the current line ups Najib is gone, for Najib to stand for Deputy will almost be unthinkable especially if Muhyiddin decides to go for the Presidency.
Brace yourself for Battle Royale, and whlist it goes on the country will still remain mismanaged.

A Nation Hijacked
The entire Malaysian Nation has been hijacked by one party and that is UMNO. The leadership of the party believes that it owns the country and all other opinions, or rights do not matter.
The present government is supposed to be a coalition of several parties besides UMNO, several of them are Bumiputra based parties from East Malaysia, and they have all been hijacked too by UMNO.
This country is ruled by UMNO and not the Barisan Government as we are made to believe, open your eyes and take a look its an UMNO run country, it is no democracy, for whenever there is dissent, or if there is trouble brewing in UMNO itself it will find reason to lock up innocent Malaysians from outside UMNO under the Internal Security Act, as it is doing now and has done in the past.
The day will never come, if UMNO continues to rule, that an East Malaysian, Dayak, Kadazaan, Iban, Penan or for that matter even an orang Asli will ever become the Prime Minister of Malaysia, the Indians and the Chinese via the toothless representation of the MCA and the MIC are nothing but silent observers and have absolutely no say in determining who the Prime Minister of this country should be. .
The recent revelation of the contracts for the second Hydro Dam in Sarawak, shows how the rights of East Malaysians are sold lock, stock and barrel to UMNO not the Federal Government, for it is UMNO and only UMNO that decides, there is no collective governance, the cabinet is nothing but a group of puppets on a string and their acts are directed by the puppeteers of UMNO.
The current succession of leadership in UMNO will determine who the next Prime Minister is to be, and no one other than UMNO will determine this, not the MCA for all its worth, not the MIC, not PBS, not SUPP, and the hosts of Sarawak and Sabah parties.
Mahathir Mohammed once took offence when Jeffrey Kitingan asked the question if an East Malaysian will ever become Prime Minister of this country? I think Jeffery Its time to ask again.
It is quite impossible to fathom that any of the Kitingan brothers and many more Malaysians like them will ever make Prime Minister of Malaysia.
Honestly Pairin is a disappointment not only to Kadazaans but to all Malaysians alike,he is a Malaysian leader and must start behaving like one, for him to allow UMNO to determine the future of the country without any consultation, and without even considering an East Malaysian for the position,as it is about time an East Malaysian of unblemished standing be allowed the position so that hey too can have a hand a meaningful role in determining the direction of this country.
For that matter even the position of Chief of Armed forces, the Chief of Police, the Judiciary are all Malays positions, the East Malaysians are all sidelined, all other Malaysians are sidelined, Eusoffee Chin being an exception and what an exception.
Citizenship is given freely to foreigners, it is taken away from legitimate Malaysians also at the whims and fancies of Government officials, the very fabric of the East Malaysian Society is under siege, and until and unless their "leaders" decide to act now, nothing will happen.
The East Malaysians must cross over, to Pakatatan, they can hold sway, they can determine the strength of Government of this Nation, the West will have to change and consider the East for power, and the East can really rule let us have this change, make the move and let us change.
The Prime Minister of this country is being determined not by the Government of the day, (if ever we have one) but by a party and all other Malaysians can only sit by and watch as UMNO determines this. So who runs this country, the Government (BN) or UMNO. If the East Malaysians decide that they have to do something about it and cross over UMNO will fall and it will spell a new dawn for this Nation of ours.

Its going to be all out war in UMNO........ Najib's running halter skelter.
The Prime Minister is responsible for coaxing Ahmad Zahid Hamidi into the fray of the Deputy President's role. The move is to ensure that Muhyiddin does not have an easy passage into the role of Deputy President. It is expected that the PM himself, will announce that he will contest the post of President, and that will force Najib to announce his candidacy as well, or will he?
This is the ace that Abdullah holds, he needs the time to decide if he is going to go for broke, and in all probability he will. Khairy is sure he will says one of Khairy's confidants. And when he does announce that he will contest and allow the membership to decide, Najib will have to make up his mind. My bet is Najib will then contest the position of Deputy.
As much as he would like to, Najib he will not stand against Abdullah for the Presidency following reasons.
The reopening of the Altantuya case, and Najib's involvement, and even if he is not involved, the questions that will hover over him regarding this case will make all believe he is. Why, even now most Malaysians believe he is involved and is part of the whole conspiracy that killed Altantuya, this is the real reason why Syed Hamid has decided to detain Raja Petra Kamaruddin. Syed Hamid is one of Najib's closest lackeys.
Another reason why he can't take on Abdullah is because at the onset there was an agreement between him and Abdullah in which he said he will not contest Abdullah and that he was satisfied to allow Abdullah to finish his job prior to handing over the reins to him come 2010. Now to stand against Abdullah after saying that will not go down well with the conservative Malays in UMNO.
The typical Najib reneged on this deal and twisted the whole agreement when he said he would wait till 2010 provided, the majority of the members wished it that way. Now Abdullah has decided to take that to the test by contesting and in doing so has given the mandate to the members, he's telling Najib in no uncertain terms lets see what they (the membership of UMNO) want.
Najib's deceit has given Abdullah the right to seek his own solution to the problem, he will stand, and promise to hand over "when the time comes," and he has every right to now determine when that time will come if he is given the mandate of the members. To whom `he hands over now is the big question.
Najib has dug his own grave, if he stayed by his word and not got seduced by the likes of Muhyiddin he would have been on a safer wicket.
Now does this explain why Abdullah decided to take over the Ministry of Defence? Everyone knows what Najib's father did to the Tengku in 1969, Abdullah will have none of it so he is safeguarding his turf.
The way things are going Najib will have to defend his position as the deputy, and that may not work in his favour unless the other candidates decide to withdraw, which is very unlikely given that Mahathir (The Mamak) will by then be hopping mad over all this scheming for which he was not consulted or even given a role.
With Najib on the brink of having the Prime Ministership grabbed from right under his nose, one wonders if he may try to go for broke too and take on Abdullah, whilst Mahathir got Anwar (framed)for sodomy Dollah is likely to go for even more serious play he has the Altantuya card close to his chest.
If the events unfold the way it is predicted, with Najib, Rustam, and Zahid in the fray, there is another wild card to consider and that is Rais Yatim for the DPM. Rais has excellent credentials for the position and will make an ideal running mate for either Razaleigh or even Abdullah, and if this happens then both Najib and Muhyiddin will be in for a tough fight.
Abdullah is not going to give up without a fight and and that is certain, Khairy will not allow him to.
There is talk on the deals that are being negotiated behind closed doors Najib,Muhyiddin and even Rafidah followed by the rest in the supreme council have assured Abdullah that they would throw their weight behind Khairy for the Youth post if Abdullah steps down. If Abdullah accepts this deal (which Khairy is not in favour of), this bargain will infuriate not only the Mamak whose son is also in the running but will get the Javanese "run away" Khir Toyo singing the blues as well.
Khairy does not trust the Supreme Council members - Najib especially and does not want such a deal in place, he has told his father-in -law that if he assumes the post that way it will only be a stop gap measure, Abdullah is the type of person who listens but does not remark, that is because he does not understand most of the things said, he is not a real politician, he does talk to Khairy over dinner he has been listening intently to all Khairy has told him, and he will make a decision, and like he said "the decision will be mine" and when the decision comes we'll see if Khairy has ever had an influence over the old man.

The Home Minister is creating trouble again
Mahathir Mohammed has openly said that Samy Veloo has never addressed the plight of the Indians, Samy Veloo represents the MIC in Government, Samy Veloo himself prior to the elections, after an election rally said that he had no power in asking the Government to set free those detained for HINDRAF activities, and this Minister of Home Affairs, Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar is reported in the New Straits Times this morning as saying "HINDRAF supporters should have emulated MIC president Datuk Seri Samy Veloo who met him several times to seek the release of HINDRAF leaders." He is quoted as having said, "he asked me on several occasions if there was any way to speed up their release." A clear indication that Samy Veloo can do nothing about it.
The Prime Minister's message was one of forgiveness, the HINDRAF have openly stated that their attendance was not to cause any disturbance but to join in the celebrations and they took the opportunity to make a plea for the release of their five leaders detained under the ISA, and according to R.S. Thanenthairan they....."visited the Raya open house in the spirit of forgiving and forgetting in wishing our Prime Minister Selamat Hari Raya." Is making representations to the Prime Minister wrong?
The Minsiter has also said that there "are other avenues," to address such issues, and other ways to send their message. I hope he is not referring to Samy Velu, because it is not only the Indian community who have given up on Samy Velu, almost the whole of Malaysia have given up on him, with all the things said about him by Mahathir Mohammed and Khir Toyo, both Barisan leaders what can one expect from his leadership?
I would like to ask Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar if that action by the group constituted and insult to Islam as he is quoted as having said.
The group decided to come to the open house after the the Prime Minister's principal private secretary had invited the 5 year old daughter of HINDRAF leader in exile P. Waythamoorthy to the open house.
Thanenthiran said, "Datuk Ahmad Yaacob received Vwaishnnavi's request letter and invited her to the open house" I only hope the the home minister was not under the impression that she was there so that the Prime Minister could take the place of her father, I know for sure that even the Prime Minister did not accept to look at it that way.
What is most disturbing is the way the Home Minister seems to have interpreted the whole issue and claimed as reported in the NST that the "Group's boldness at the function also constituted and insult to Islam."
This seems to be his usual line these days, it was used for RPK first and now for this HINDRAF group who went to the Prime Minister's house in the spirit of "forgiving and forgetting" which also echoed the prime Minister's Hari Raya message of forgiveness.
Instead of having used the occasion to build bridges here, there seems to be a deliberate negative reaction from the Minister to create a divide, something this brand of UMNO policitcians have excelled in especially towards the UMNO general Assembly.
The Home Minister had better look into a little of history and ask all local groups not to refer to his late father who was a simple medicine man from Celebes, as "The Lion of UMNO" for referring to a man as a beast is indeed very un-Islamic to say the least.
I can understand that he is proud of that title given to his father, but then when he lends such absurd and narrow minded interpretations one would think that is the way he should respond. What is even more perplexing is that he is a qualified lawyer and this seems to be coming from him.

If Only Abdullah Walked the Talk
Selamat Hari Raya Idil Fitri Maaf Zahir dan Batin from the blog.
It is indeed a time for rejoicing for our Islamic Brothers and sisters who have fasted for the last 30 days or so in an act of renewal.
I read the Prime Minister's message in the Star, I expected some act of forgiveness, he talked about it but he was unable to walk the talk. What happened to Raja Petra Kamaruddin who has been detained under the ISA for speaking his mind, he talks about openness, it is not the Malaysians who are not prepared for it as he puts it, it is the UMNO leadership in their narrow mindedness who are ill prepared for this, not really ill prepared, but who go all out in the crudest of manners to exploit it, make sentimental issues out of it, and stir the emotions of their followers for their own political ends.
The UMNO leadership has dwindled to nothing but a bunch of leaders with a mindset of street gangsters.
This was seen in one of the videos displayed on the YOUTUBE where Nazri a supreme council member seems to be yelling at another member of Parliament and telling him to shut up, calling him a racialist, and using other language that does not befit a member Parliament.
This was seen in the behavior of Ahmad Isamil, this was seen in the unsubstantiated allegations made about Theresa Kok by a former Menteri Besar of Selangor and an UMNO supreme council member as well.
It was seen in the language of UMNO members of Parliament using degrading names to reefer to "Indians" and terms that were an insult to the ladies of Malaysia.
What is paramount here here is the failure of the President of UMNO, and the Barisan Nasional, and the Prime Minister to have personally come out and directly have taken these people to task to stop it at the onset.
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi could have stopped all thsi had he been firm right at the onset, which he chose not to do, in a deliberate attempt to win favour with the extreme right in UMNO in order to safeguard his position.
Sadly it did not work, it only portrayed him as a weakling, unable to make firm decisions, and a person over whom every, Nazri, Najib and Khairy could walk over.
Today in the Hari Raya message he calls for understanding.
Abdullah also asked for forgiveness for any wrong he might have done, Mr. prime Minsiter you can't keep people jailed as prisoners of conscience as you yourself knwo it is wrong and ask for forgiveness, who are we to forgive you for the sins you commit against others.

Zaid Ibrahim - open letter to PM Sep 30, 08
In our proclamation of independence, our first prime minister gave voice to the lofty aspirations and dreams of the people of Malaya: that Malaya was founded on the principles of liberty and justice, and the promise that collectively we would always strive to improve the welfare and happiness of its people.
MCPX
Many years have passed since that momentous occasion and those aspirations and dreams remain true and are as relevant to us today as they were then. This was made possible by a strong grasp of fundamentals in the early period of this nation.
The federal constitution and the laws made pursuant to it were well founded; they embodied the key elements of a democracy built on the rule of law. The Malaysian judiciary once commanded great respect from Malaysians and was hailed as a beacon for other nations.
Our earlier prime ministers, Tunku Abdul Rahman, Tun Razak and Tun Hussein Onn were truly leaders of integrity, patriots in their own right and most importantly, men of humility. They believed in and built this nation on the principles and values enunciated in our constitution.
Even when they had to enact the Internal Security Act (ISA) 1960, they were very cautious and apologetic about it. Tunku stated clearly that the Act was passed to deal with the communist threat.
“My cabinet colleagues and I gave a solemn promise to Parliament and the nation that the immense powers given to the government under the ISA would never be used to stifle legitimate opposition and silent lawful dissent”, was what the Tunku said.
Our third prime minister, Tun Hussein Onn, reinforced this position by saying that the ISA was not intended to repress lawful political opposition and democratic activity on the part of the citizenry.
Gov’t has failed the people
The events of the last three weeks have compelled me to review the way in which the ISA has been used. This exercise has sadly led me to the conclusion that the government has time and time again failed the people of this country in repeatedly reneging on that solemn promise made by Tunku Abdul Rahman.
This has been made possible because the government and the law have mistakenly allowed the minister of home affairs to detain anyone for whatever reason he thinks fit. This subjective discretion has been abused to further certain political interests.
History is the great teacher and speaks volumes in this regard. Even a cursory examination of the manner in which the ISA has been used almost from its inception would reveal the extent to which its intended purpose has been subjugated to the politics of the day.
Regrettably, Tunku Abdul Rahman himself reneged on his promise. In 1965, his administration detained Burhanuddin Helmi, the truly towering Malay intellectual, a nationalist who happened to be a PAS leader. He was kept in detention until his death in 1969. Helmi was a political opponent and could by no stretch of the imagination be considered to have been involved in the armed rebellion or communism that the ISA was designed to deal with.
This detention was an aberration, a regrettable moment where politics had been permitted to trump the rule of law. It unfortunately appears to have set a precedent and many detentions of persons viewed as having been threatening to the incumbent administration followed through the years.
Even our literary giant, ‘sasterawan negara’ the late Tan Sri A Samad Ismail was subjected to the ISA in 1976. How could he have been a threat to national security?
I need not remind you of the terrible impact of the 1987 Operasi Lalang. Its spectre haunts the government as much as it does the peace-loving people of this nation, casting a gloom over all of us. There were and still are many unanswered questions about those dark hours when more than a hundred persons were detained for purportedly being threats to national security. Why they were detained has never been made clear to Malaysians.
Similarly, no explanation has been forthcoming as to why they were never charged in court. Those detainees included amongst their numbers senior opposition members of parliament who are still active in Parliament today.
The only thing that is certain about that period was that Umno was facing a leadership crisis. Isn’t it coincidental that the recent spate of ISA arrests has occurred when Umno is again having a leadership crisis?
‘Militant’ Ezam back in Umno
In 2001, Keadilan ‘reformasi’ activists were detained in an exercise that the Federal Court declared was in bad faith and unlawful. The continued detention of those that were not released earlier in the Kamunting detention facility was made possible only by the fact that the ISA had been questionably amended in 1988 to preclude judicial review of the minister’s order to detain.
Malaysians were told that these detainees had been attempting to overthrow the government via militant means and violent demonstrations. Seven years have gone and yet no evidence in support of this assertion has been presented. Compounding the confusion even further, one of these so-called militants, Ezam Mohamad Noor, recently rejoined Umno to great fanfare, as a prized catch it would seem.
At around the same time, members of PAS were also detained for purportedly being militant and allegedly having links to international terrorist networks. Those detained included Nik Adli, the son of Tuan Guru Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, the menteri besar of Kelantan. Malaysians were made a promise by the government that evidence of the alleged terrorist activities and links of these detainees would be disclosed. To date no such evidence has been produced.
The same formula was used in late 2007 when the Hindraf 5 were detained. Malaysians were told once again that these individuals were involved in efforts to overthrow the government and had links with the militant Liberation Tiger of Tamil Eelam of Sri Lanka. To date no concrete evidence have been presented to support this assertion.
It would seem therefore that the five were detained for their involvement in efforts that led to a mobilisation of Indian Malaysians to express, through peaceful means; their frustration against the way in which their community had been allowed to be marginalised. This cause has since been recognised as a legitimate one. The Hindraf demonstration is nothing extraordinary as such assemblies are universally recognised as being a legitimate means of expression.
In the same vein, the grounds advanced in support of the most recent detentions of Tan Hoon Cheng, Teresa Kok and Raja Petra Kamarudin leave much to be desired. The explanation that Tan Hoon Cheng was detained for her own safety was farcical. The suggestion that Teresa Kok had been inciting religious sentiments was unfounded as was evinced by her subsequent release.
As for Raja Petra Kamarudin, the prominent critic of the government, a perusal of his writings would show that he might have been insulting of the government and certain individuals within it.
However, being critical and insulting could not in any way amount to a threat to national security. If his writings are viewed as being insulting of Islam, Muslims or the Holy Prophet (pbuh), he should instead be charged under the Penal Code and not under the ISA.
In any event, he had already been charged for sedition and criminal defamation in respect of some of his statements. He had claimed trial, indicating as such his readiness and ability to defend himself. Justice would best be served by allowing him his day in court more so where, in the minds of the public, the government is in a position of conflict for having been the target of his strident criticism.
Law used against dissidents
The instances cited above strongly suggest that the government is undemocratic. It is this perspective that has over the last 25 plus years led to the government seemingly arbitrarily detaining political opponents, civil society and consumer advocates, writers, businessmen, students, journalists whose crime, if it could be called that, was to have been critical of the government.
How it is these individuals can be perceived as being threats to national security is beyond my comprehension. The self-evident reality is that legitimate dissent was and is quashed through the heavy-handed use of the ISA.
There are those who support and advocate this carte-blanche reading of the ISA. They will seek to persuade you that the interests of the country demand that such power be retained, that Malaysians owe their peace and stability to laws such as the ISA. This overlooks the simple truth that Malaysians of all races cherish peace. We lived together harmoniously for the last 400 years, not because of these laws but in spite of them.
I believe the people of this country are mature and intelligent enough to distinguish actions that constitute a ‘real’ threat to the country from those that threaten political interests. Malaysians have come know that the ISA is used against political opponents and, it would seem, when the leadership is under challenge either from within the ruling party or from external elements.
Malaysians today want to see a government that is committed to the court process to determine guilt or innocence even for alleged acts of incitement of racial or religious sentiment. They are less willing to believe, as they once did, that a single individual, namely the minister of home affairs; knows best about matters of national security.
They value freedom and the protection of civil liberties and this is true of people of other nations too.
I attempted to push for reform
Mr Prime Minister, the results of the last general election are clear indication that the people of Malaysia are demanding a reinstatement of the rule of law. I was appointed as your, albeit short-lived, minister in charge of legal affairs and judicial reform.
In that capacity, I came to understand more keenly how many of us want reform, not for the sake of it, but for the extent to which our institutions have been undermined by events and the impact this has had on society.
With your blessing, I attempted to push for reform. High on my list of priorities was a reinstatement of the inherent right of judicial review that could be enabled through a reversion of the key constitutional provision to its form prior to the controversial amendment in 1988.
I need not remind you that that constitutional amendment was prompted by the same series of events that led not only to Operasi Lalang but the sacking of the then Lord President and two supreme court justices.
Chief amongst my concerns was the way in which the jurisdiction and the power of the courts to grant remedy against unconstitutional and arbitrary action of the executive had been removed by Parliament and the extent to which this had permitted an erosion of the civil liberties of Malaysians.
It was this constitutional amendment that paved the way for the ouster provision in the ISA that virtually immunises the minister from judicial review, a provision which exemplifies the injustice the constitutional amendment of 1988 has lent itself.
I also sought to introduce means by which steps could be taken to assist the judiciary to regain the reputation for independence and competence it once had. Unfortunately, this was viewed as undesirable by some since an independent judiciary would mean that the executive would be less ‘influential’.
I attempted to do these things and more because of the realisation that Malaysia’s democratic traditions and the rule of law are under siege. Anyway, there is nothing wrong with giving everyone an independent judiciary and the opportunity to a fair trial.
This is consistent with the universal norms of human rights as it is with the tenets of Islam, the religion of the federation. Unchecked power to detain at the whim of one man is oppressiveness at its highest. Even in Israel, a nation that is perpetually at war the power to detain is not vested in one man and detention orders require endorsement from a judge.
If there are national security considerations, then these can be approached without jettisoning the safeguards intended to protect individual citizens from being penalised wrongfully. In other jurisdictions involved in armed conflicts, trials are held in camera to allow for judicial scrutiny of evidence considered too sensitive for public disclosure so as to satisfy the ends of justice.
If this can be done in these jurisdictions, why not here where the last armed struggle we saw, the very one that precipitated the need for the ISA, came to an end in the 1980s?
ISA was never intended to be permanent
Any doubts as to the continued relevance of the ISA in its present form should have been put to rest by the recommendation by the Human Rights Commission (Suhakam) that the ISA be repealed and an anti-terror legislation suited to the times enacted in its place. Containing as it did a sunset clause in its original times, the ISA was never intended to be a permanent feature on the Malaysian legal landscape.
Through its continued use in the manner described above and in the face of public sentiment, it is only natural that the ISA has become in the mind of the people an instrument of oppression and the government is one that lends itself to oppressiveness.
Its continued use does not bode well for a society that is struggling to find its place in the global arena. It does not bode well for the democracy that is so vital for us to develop sustainably.
Mr Prime Minister, I remember very clearly what you once said; that if one has the opportunity to do what is good and right for the country, then he must take on the task. I respect you deeply for that and if I were confident that I would have been able to do some good for Malaysia, I would have remained on your team.
Sir, you are still the prime minister and you still have the opportunity to leave your footprint in Malaysian history. I urge you to do so by repealing the ISA once and for all.
Let us attempt to fulfil that solemn promise made by our beloved first prime minister to the people of this country.
Yours sincerely
Zaid Ibrahim

This Eid Set them Free
"Salam Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir Dan Batin"
"Happy Eid, Forgive my physical and emotional wrongdoings" that is what "Salam Aidilfitri Maaf Zahir Dan Batin" means.
On this auspicious day Muslims the world over celebrate the end of fasting, the night before is referred to as takbir and it is on takbir that the Prime Minister makes his Hari Raya Address.
On this very important Malaysian holiday in true Malaysian spirit the people of this cosmopolitan country visit each other and celebrate in the true Malaysian spirit. It is a popular saying in Malaysia, that your Raya is my Raya as well because we all celebrate it together with our Muslim friends.
It is traditional for our Prime Minister to hold an open house, the various leaders of the opposition parties hold open houses too on this occasion.
It is a splendid occasion for the Prime Minister in true spirit of the Raya to free all those prisoners of conscience who have been jailed under the ISA on this day,and promise the rakyat that this piece of legislation will be reviewed.
It is 'Eid mubarak "a blessed 'Eid", that is the greeting in many Islamic countries.
This is an occasion for compassion, this is an occasion for forgiveness, it is an occasion for celebration, and let him lend meaning to the words "Maaf Zahir dan Batin"
Ps. Known Prisoners of Conscience; Raja Petra Kamaruddin, The HINDRAF leaders, and more not so popular detainees, set them free, at your speech on takbir and let us celebrate a great festival in a great way.

"Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir dan Batin"

Notwithstanding The Circus Continues
The world is in a state of shock, Wall Street, the barometer of almost all browses in the world had to be bailed out in what is seen as the worst financial crisis to ever hit the planet, and whilst all governments are working out their plans to buffer themselves from what is expected to be a global financial meltdown, the Malaysian Government led by UMNO continues with its "Three Ring Circus."
In the middle ring is the Clown extraordinaire Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, with his famed albino Gorrila Najib Tun Razak, a ferocious animal that is known to kill, and is famous for crossing into the other two rings.
Ring number two belongs to the seasoned animal trainer, a viscous Doctor, who has no mercy for his animals, was reported to the society of prevention of cruelty to humans many a time, and is notorious for his defiance to authority, uses brute force to deal with any situation regarding human beings and animals alike. A doctor in the mold of the famous François "Papa Doc" Duvalier of Haiti, the prince of Vodoo, Mahathir has indeed outdone this Haitian leader.
The third ring is filled with men from the opposition, UMNO's Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah, Anwar Ibrahim, PAS and DAP politicians and hordes of concerned Malaysians.
The players from the first two rings hold sway, on the one hand is the clown with the gorilla and a full compliment of monkeys and apes all of whom are more concerned about where and when to swing, they are now getting the clown to leave the ring, and this on the instructions from ring number two.
The Doc Duvalier's mirror image is directing the apes in ring one to dance to his tune to keep his ring in order. He has a ring of pedigree stuff, some who use him and others whom he uses, but for now his concern is on his pets, one of whom has crossed over to ring one and is vying a leadership role there.
There is no concern for the bigger show and that is the circus as a whole. Once reputed to be one of the leading Circus' in town it is now looks like, given the present trend it will be out performed by the Gloria Magapagal Manila Circus and the Aung Burmese traditional circus.
No one in the Malaysian circus save for a few in ring three actually see the situation, and are really worried about it, the Malaysian people on the whole are behaving like apes too and allowing these two masters of ring one and two to to take them to hell.

UMNO information Chief, and Ahmad Ismail of Penang have teamed up and are encouraging Abdullah to go for broke and seek re-election at the next UMNO general Assembly.
The campaign will begin with a salvo an attack on Rafidah and a new candidate for the wanita chief's position. Sharizat will be dumped after the next assembly, Abdullah is annoyed with ther support for Rafidah who is seen clearly as a person who wants Abdullah out.
UMNO information chief Muhammad Muhd Taib who has a strong following of the grassroots is being lined up at this stage as Abdullah's running mate.
Together with Muhammad's support base Abdullah is seen as a clear favorite, they believe with that move Najib will be knocked out of his position and Muhammad is to provide Abdullah his wish to continue being PM, as it is abundantly Abdullah is not keen to be seen as a stop gap.
In return Muhammad is to be appointed Deputy PM and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.
Khairy will be appointed to the Education portfolio, and Abdullahs old friend whom disposed of after the last elections Radzi is to return to head the Home Office, with Zahid make a return to Parliament as de facto law Minister. Rais will continue to head Foreign. All this is provided Abdullah wins.
The strategic plan will have Khairy canvassing the support of the Negri UMNO Divisions, although he may not be too popular there it is no secret that Najib is disliked by most UMNO divisions in Negeri Sembilan.
Abdullah is expected to have a mixed following in Johore and Pahang and Trengganu, coupled with Muhammad Taib's grassroot connections they will provide a formidable force.
The news on the street is that Abdullah is gong for broke, he is pitting his everything against Najib's ambitions and Najib's shadow cabinet.

Syed Lies about RPK
It is the month of Ramadan and Syed Hamid has chosen this month to lie against another Muslim, heaven forgive him and his band of confounded liars.
If indeed Raja Petra Kamaruddin has written articles which according to reports tarnished the leadership of the country and insulted the sanctity of Islam let us have the proof.
I have no doubts that when reporters expose our Ministers for their deeds it does tarnish their reputation, you can't blame the reporters for that, the ministers themselves are responsible and that can't be a threat to national security.
A threat to National security is when you film a Minister in a hotel room with another lady, that is indeed a threat to National security, think of the implications if the Minister filmed was the defense minister and if it were used to blackmail him into giving away defense secrets. If they could do it to the Health Minsiter they can do it to others, or have they?
Why did the police not investigate Chua Soi Lek's case? That indeed was a case of National Security breach. Could it be because it was the work of some people in government itself?
The Sisters in Islam on 12th September 2008 released this statement.
"Sisters in Islam (SIS) calls upon the Malaysian government for the immediate release of Raja Petra Kamaruddin, MP Teresa Kok and Ms Tan Hoon Cheng who are currently detained under the draconian Internal Security Act (ISA)"
I visited Chandra Muzaffar's JUST site, he talks about Guantanomo detainees, he talks about the Iraqi problem, all very legitimate problems, but one wonders why he is silent about Raja Petra Kamaruddin, why he is silent about detentions under the ISA, when he himself was detained under this same Act during the operations lallang under Mahathir Mohammed.
The JUST WEBSITE REMAINED JUST BLANK.
No Islamic Organsiation of repute has come out to rebuke RPK, if indeed he had insulted Islam, a fatwa against him would have been decreed by now, by Islamic bodies in the world, it is absent, indicating that Syed Hamid and the Police are lying, that he has insulted the sanctity of Islam, and therefor we we have to consider who in this case is is insulting the sanctity of Islam.
Raja Petra as we all know has been followed by Al Jazeera, BCC and CNN if indeed he had uttered anything that insulted the sanctity of Islam they woudl have got it and it would have made very interesting reporting to them, and we'd have seen the forces of the Muslim world bearing in on RPK,. Why is is this not the case?

Is it a farewell to the Prime Minsiter
Najib may land up with the presidency of UMNO tomorrow or have a defiant Abdullah slug it out with him to the last.
Abdullah is not the type of person to let go easily, he does not speak too much because the little that he says seems to be of little intellectual value, Abdullah if he wants to retain his stand of staying at the helm till 2010 has to be prepared for a fight tomorrow.
He has the aces on his side, head of the Ministry of defense, the Prime Minister, the current President of UMNO but what he lacks is the crookish character of a Mahathir. He has to take a leaf of what Mahathir would have done.
The Mahathir principle would be sack or force out his deputy, and threaten all the rest that, that would be their fate if they dared oppose him.
I however doubt Abdullah is made of such stern stuff, he will not be able to withstand the onslaught, unless prior to tomorrow's meeting he whispers a few things in Najib's ear, the same way Razak Baginda's father whispered a few words in Razak's ear. If he does that, that may get Najib backing Abdullah with all his might.
Badawi's fate is on the line tomorrow, and it is in his hands, he is the only one who can make the difference it tomorrow's outcome, the agenda is of course to get him out, but whether he stays or goes depends solely on Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

Will it be Najib or Khairy
"Hell's hottest spots are reserved for those who in the face of crisis declare neutrality".........uknown
This is exactly the case of the UMNO members who are now fence sitters and belong to no camp, they intend to play it safe, they will only follow the winner, and yet they do not have the slightest inkling of who the winner will be.
Najib Tun Razak has been playing this game once too often, in the period when Ku Li took on Mahathir, he played a "keep quiet" game, at the time when Anwar spoke out about cronies, he played a "talk no evil"game, now when the rest of UMNO are demanding that Abdullah relinquish his post and hand it over to him he has "blown hot , then blown cold" all of a sudden, and this is the key to the fact that some of "Hells hottest spots" are being reserved for him.
Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, maybe the countries fifth best Prime Minister, in fact that should not be a maybe, it is something everyone knows, that he is the fifth best, but he is no fool. He has an adviser who was educated in Oxford, and he is no fool too, ambitious maybe, but no fool, and talk has it that Najib and he do not see eye to eye.
After coming out and publicly declaring that he would not contest Abdullah and that there would be a transition in 2010, Najib changed his stance and said he would leave it to the membership, then at the recent UMNO supreme council meeting he had to step in to cool the fury of some members who attacked Abdullah, and even brought his son and even son in law in to the fray, and it is reported that Abdullah looked visibly angry, but Najib stepped in to cool the situation.
After that meeting Abdullah visited Penang where the branches who defied him on the Ahmad Ismail case fully backed him to remain as PM till 2010 and maybe even further. Now does that explain his handling of the Ahmad Ismail case, and Ahmad Ismail is now looked upon as a hero amongst extreme right in UMNO, and this has got Najib back peddling and "che det" so mad he is on overdrive in his bullshit campaign against Abdullah.
Abdullah has the reins on Najib, Abdullah has taken over the defense portfolio not for nothing, both him and Najib no nothing about Finance, its the second Finance Minsiter who handles finance, and the only reason I can see why he does not hold the post totally is because of his Indian heritage, Mahathir could hide it, he can't it's all over him, he looks and is so Indian, and his classmates will tell he he used to speak Tamil to his mother so him holding such a position would be untenable in UMNO, that already has had enough with one Mahathir.
The key to the whole issue is still the submarines scandal, Abdullah will use it and all other matters relating to it if he needs to and when he needs to, so Najib has to play the follower, Abdullah's taking over the defense was to ensure that Najib would not do to him what his father did to the Tengku and to ensure that he holdss the Ace.
The only question is will Najib ever live to see the role of Prime Minister handed to him, or will Khairy eventually take over that role?
Frankly Xroy
PS. It could be Tenku Razaleigh as the next PM, that could change the whole equation, but Abdullah is not worried about that, what he does not want is to be seen to be kicked out by Che Det and his ever faithful band of cronies.

Najib to skip his Maiden speech at the UN General Assembly
Huh! the statement of the finance ministry giving reasons for Najib skipping his Maiden speech at the assembly, is worse than the type of excuses given by Syed Hamid for all his deeds.
Truly “ornithological specimens of identical plumage congregating in close proximity” so much so the level of intelligence seems to be contagious amongst the species.
This is a clear example of what happens when people of a certain level of knowledge, refuse to mix around with people of yet another level, there is no interactive learning and the result is they remain in that closed domain of intelligence and its limitations will show sooner rather than later.
This is why it is important that Universities be centers of universal learning, not confined to just one race, any way that is not the topic of discussion here.
A statement issued by the office of the Deputy Prime Minister which added that the cancellation was approved by Abdullah says;
"The decision is due to the current global economic situation which requires the deputy prime minister’s attention to ensure the country’s economy stays strong. In addition to that, he was just appointed as the finance minister on Sept 17. He will need more time to attend to briefings on the current economic situation by various agencies and departments under the finance ministry."
What lame excuses, we are used to this type of talk from the Ministers of Abdullah’s cabinet, that we realize that all we’ll get are stupid excuses.
I would suspect that the truth of the matter is, that Najib is afraid to address the assembly, he is afraid that his speech may be boycotted, on the other hand I think he’d welcome such a move, he is afraid that he will be called into account for the violations of Human Rights here in Malaysia, the arrest under the ISA of Malaysians, the arrest of blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin, the arrest of the HINDRAF 5, the case against Anwar, all this have indeed been well rehearsed by representatives of free countries and are to be directed to Najib, and now he is scared, he is frightened, in fact he is so terrified, that he has chosen Rais Yatim to do his job of addressing the assembly, and just imagine this was supposed to be his maiden address to this the United Nations General Assembly.
Rais though a cabinet member has publicly denounced the actions of this government under the ISA, Najib feels that with that credential Rais can go ahead and deliver his speech.
This seems a well rehearsed act, Rais was in the US before Najib’s cancellation, Rais denounced the arrests before Najib’s cancellation of his trip, and now that Rais has done all that - Najib delegates the job to Rais, how easy, this man, our Deputy Prime Minister seems afraid to face the truth.
I suspect Rais will receive sufficient brickbats, as foreign Minister he has to know what is happening, I hope he does not reply in the same fashion as our Home Minister, Rais is one of these Ministers in the cabinet who is noted for his fluency in English and his ability to delver answers that makes sense, lets hope Rais does not disappoint not only those who will call on him to account but the general Malaysian Public, who would want to see answers befitting his position, he always has delivered in this area, I just hope he does not have a script prepared by Najib, Syed Hamid, Nazri our new Law Minister or even the PM.
